Liuzhou city in South China’s Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region is going to expand and upgrade the facilities of seven daycare centers in a bid to better take care of local senior citizens.

The seven daycare centers, which enable seniors to socialize with others while still receiving needed care services during the daytime, are located in Liubei district, Liunan district, Yufeng district and Chengzhong district in Liuzhou city.

Hongli daycare center in Liubei district is Liuzhou city’s first daycare center. The center, which is under construction, has a total investment of 3.3 million yuan ($537,900).

Apart from the seven daycare centers, the city also plans to build 62 service stations, which offers assistance to those senior citizens who choose home-based care.
