28 Provinces Confirm Plans to Raise Basic Pension
Recently, Henan, Guangdong and Inner Mongolia have fixed their plans to increase basic pension in 2018. In addition, local policies have been implemented intensively in June and July. So far, 28 provinces, including Beijing, Jilin, Shanxi, Shanghai and Jiangsu, have confirmed their plans to increase basic pension.

A few days ago, Nanjing Municipal People’s Government issued the Opinions on Comprehensive Opening-up of the Elderly Care Service Market to Improve the Quality of Elderly Care Services, which clearly putts forward the goals and tasks of “six comprehensive opening-ups” and further expands the effective supply of elderly care services across the city to constantly satisfy the diversified needs of the elderly.

Six Major Health and Elderly Care Industries in Henan Receive Financial Support
On August 15, Henan Province Development and Reform Commission issued the Notice of Developmental Financial Support for the Transformation of Health and Elderly Care Industry (hereinafter referred to as “Notice”), which recommends six health and elderly care projects as beneficiaries of the developmental financial support so that the aged can be looked after with security and happiness.

According to the Notice, developmental financial support covers six health and elderly care industries, namely, elderly care community, elderly care institution, elderly care base, health-rehabilitation, smart elderly care and products for the elderly.

Smart elderly care projects mainly focus on the application of information technologies such as mobile Internet, Internet of Things and big data in health and elderly care industry. They may develop wearable devices, smart elderly care monitoring devices, family service robots and so on for different application environments in families, communities, institutions, etc.

China Taiping Has Built Large Health-Rehabilitation Elderly Care Community with RMB 4 Billion, Offering More Than 40 Kinds of Facilities and 100 Kinds of Services
China Taiping has invested RMB 4 billion to build Wutong Family, the first flagship elderly care community in six years, whose mysterious veil is unveiled today: more than 1,500 healthy and active apartments for the elderly, nearly 900 rehabilitation and nursing beds, over 100 intimate services and more than 40 types of elderly communities... According to some person in charge of Taiping Senior Living Management Co., Ltd., the community is expected to be fully furnished next year.

At present, there are two ways to live in Wutong Family. One is for customers of Taiping Life. As long as you have bought an insurance product of Taiping Life and your premium has accumulated to a certain amount, you are qualified to live there. The other is the membership system. Residents of Wutong Family shall pay different check-in qualification fees according to different room sizes.
