China's current pension industry is entering a phase of high-speed development, with an expected market scale reaching RMB 7.7 trillion within this year. In the context of an aging population, increasing demand for elderly care services, and frequent favorable policies, China's pension industry is being upgraded at a faster pace to be universal, intelligent, and ecological. According to the Guidelines on the Development of Products for the Country's Senior Citizens issued by the five ministries and commissions, the industry of products for the elderly will focus on the development of daily auxiliary products, elderly care products, rehabilitation training and health promotion aids, elderly-oriented environment improvement products, and garments for the elderly, with an overall scale of more than RMB 5 trillion in 2025. Based on these policies, this year's SIC will consist of seven major areas – Barrier-free Life, Smart Elderly Care, Elderly Care Services, Special Elderly Services, Rehabilitation Care, Health Care, and an International Exhibition Area, displaying elderly care establishments and supporting facilities needed for elderly-oriented transformation, a full range of cutting-edge rehabilitation aids, daily necessities for the elderly and health care products, and local innovative institutional care, elderly education, entertainment, financial services, among others.

Promoting exchanges and cooperation with an international vision

The SIC has become more international with each passing year, offering a platform for enterprises at home and abroad to exchange and cooperate, and providing products and solutions suitable for the elderly in China. At last year's SIC, nearly 100 high-quality international brands participated in the exhibition, among which the Japanese exhibition group was the largest, presenting the latest achievements in more than 30 excellent enterprises, including elderly care operation, training services, rehabilitation care, daily necessities, and more. In order to promote the development of the supply market with high-quality products and services for senior citizens, the SIC will continue to strengthen Its cooperation with health care, civil affairs, the Disabled Persons Federation, and medical rehabilitation departments in all provinces. Sharing intelligent ideas and insights at industry conferences

More than 30 theme forums will be held during this year's SIC, discussing hot topics in the industry such as integrated treatment and support, rehabilitation nursing, treatment and support environment design, elderly hearing and language rehabilitation, smart elderly care, and more, as well as practical problems in elderly care operation establishments such as talent training, cognitive disease, high-quality operation, and health care. More than 150 industry experts have been invited to share their practical experience and thinking. Leaders of government agencies, including the National Health Commission, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the Development Research Center of the State Council, will also be invited to attend the event to offer policy guidance.
