SIC 2014 Successfully Concluded in Guangzhou

The first China International Silver Industry Exhibition (SIC 2014), jointly organized by China Poly Group Corporation, China Silver Industry Association, and Guangdong Committee on Ageing, has come to a successful conclusion in Guangzhou. Three-day exhibition has attracted a total of 19,000 visitors across the world, and showcased the latest trends and most advanced ideas about senior care services. The forums held during the exhibition were attended by a large number of participants who shared their wisdom and inspiration with each other. It is no doubt a high-end professional and pragmatic platform of communication for the global silver industry.

From October 9 to 11, the world’s top products and facilities, high-end construction parts, and home care solutions for the elderly were displayed at Poly World Trade Center Expo. A sumptuous feast of senior care services was jointly presented by 150 well-known Chinese and foreign companies in an exhibition space of 11,000m2. Famous companies such as Yongai, TOTO, Kohler, Poly Real Estate, J•RT, Caroline, CRR, Siduco, Hitachi Systems, and Zenith adopted a high profile at the exhibition and captured the attention of many visitors with the latest products for the elderly.

The products featuring creative designs, leading models, and user friendliness caught considerable attention at the exhibition, particularly the products, technologies and facilities for elderly. General Manager of Yongai Mr. Cui Jingxue said, “We have received pre-orders from senior care institutions, nursing homes, and care service providers. It’s far beyond our expectation. We were too busy with receiving visitors at our booth to attend the forums. I believe that the future of SIC is promising. It is bound to grow into a barometer of the Chinese senior care industry.”

General Manager of Japanese company France Bed Mr. Tahara Keisuke said, “I believe that this exhibition will help to boost our brand marketing in southern China. Among our visitors there were professional nursing homes, agents, and ordinary people. They showed great interest in our products. The organizer’s service and number of visitors are both as good as we expected. It’s very rewarding so we will come again next year.”
Ms. Sun Suping, Director of Rongyongdao Care Center in Zhuhai, was surprised to see so many products and facilities for the elderly at the exhibition. She said, “We are working with the government on building a large nursing home and have been gathering information about related facilities from the Internet. It is really a surprise to see such a full range of products and facilities at the exhibition and get the chance to talk directly to the manufacturers about what we need.”

More than 98% of the visitors indicated that they would come to the event next year. The bustling scene on the site of SIC 2014 shows the great vitality of China’s silver industry. Design Director of GN International Mr. Guan Yiqun said, “I think the biggest highlight of the exhibition is that it brings together really good products, facilitates real sharing and deals, and gives the participants real benefits. Such a big success gives us the hope that there is a huge market of senior care here in China.”

Prof. Wu Danxing, member of the Ministry of Civil Affairs Expert Committee for the Senior Care Service Industry, delivered an inspiring keynote speech at China International Forum on Aging 2014. As she said, “The plenary and parallel sessions are all fantastic. They have brought us a large amount of information and given us the confidence in the future of the industry. Senior care is bound to be one of China’s pillar industries in 20 years. This exhibition plays a big part in promoting every segment of the industry, including investment, development and construction, as well as operation and management. It has offered us satisfactory answers and solutions in much dimension and at many levels.”

Nearly 2,000 participants took part in the activities during the exhibition, each of which drew a capacity audience with heated discussions. Many authoritative experts and elites of the senior care industry from China and other countries shared with the audience their international perspectives and practical experience. The trade fair, open forum and Poly Real Estate’s bidding conference provided participants with a platform for exchanges, sharing, and win-win cooperation, meeting the needs of industry professionals in different aspects.

The first SIC pooled the best resources from silver industries around the world and won the recognition of buyers from across the country for its accurate grasp of the market, professional services, rich variety of leading exhibits, and sharing of practical experience. The three-day exhibition has come to an end but the business cooperation brought about thereof is yet to unfold.

The second SIC will be held in Poly World Trade Center Expo from November 6 to 8, 2015. It is truly an exciting event to look forward to.
