On March 24, “The First Guangzhou Youth Salon on Elderly-care” was successfully held by the organizing committee of China International Aging Industry Expo with Yuexiu Elderly-care Training Center and Guangzhou Institute of Medical Elderly-Care. Mr. Sha Jixiang, President of Guangzhou Institute of Medical Elderly-care, delivered a welcome speech, emphasizing significance of the activity and encouraging the youth salon to be held regularly in various forms.

Mr. He Hongtao, General Manager of Yuexiu Silver Beauty, expressed his thanks to the participants. He said that the salon was held to offer the peers a platform to exchange and to learn, and hoped that the platform would continue to blossom for development of the aging industry with everyone’s effort.

Mr. Zhao Yishu, Director of Zhongshan Guanghong Research Center for Cognitive Disorder Care, shared a speech themed as “Operation Practice of Cognitive Disorder Care”. He introduced senile cognitive disorders and shared his thoughts and insights on their business attributes. He also suggested that elderly-care institutions were bound to focus on the elderly care service in the end, and must be rooted in improving the quality and professional skills of the nursing personnel.

Mr. Yao Zihong, President of Guangzhou Baiyue Baitai Urban Care Center shared the topic of “How to Develop Elderly-care Institutions Together”. He believed that the current elderly-care market, which was far from being saturated, had not entered the stage for intratype competition yet. All industry peers should pull together to cultivate the market and to improve the services and facilities in senior homes so that the current stereotypes of the industry could be altered.

Mr. Fu Peiqiang, South China Manager of Hong Kong Culture Homes Elderly-care Group, shared a soft meal solution on how to help the seniors, stroke patients and head and neck cancer patients, who were with high incidence of dysphagia, to solve the problem.

Ms. Xia Lingxu, Project Leader of Guangzhou Poly Jinhan Exhibition Co., Ltd. (Poly Expo), exchanged in depth with the participants on how to develop China International Aged Industry Expo (SIC Expo) into the best choice for exploring the elderly-care market and bringing new drivers into the business. She also said that the SIC Expo would hold more elderly-care salons, providing platforms for industry exchange, and rejuvenating the industry.
